Representatives of the Lviv University visited the East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden within the framework of the "INTERADIS" project for the purpose of an educational visit

On July 24-28, the East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden (Germany) hosted partner meetings of the "INTERADIS" project / Integration and adaptation of foreign students. Delegates from Lviv University were Olga Osredchuk, head of the Marketing and Development development, Maria Dzikovska, head of the Human Resources Department, and Yaryna Tsoba, a specialist in the Fundraising and Development department of the Marketing and Development Center.

One of the main goals of the "INTERADIS" project is to ensure the successful integration of foreign students into the cultural, ethnic and social environment of Ukraine and the European Union; to improve the qualifications of academic staff for more efficient work and to improve the quality of administrative services for foreign students.

Colleagues from the University of East Bavaria talked about the mechanism of working with international students: what documents are required when applying, how the special system for collecting student data works and setting up a student's personal account. An important aspect of the meetings was the discussion of the cultural adaptation of foreign students, their familiarization with the country and city, and integration into the educational system of another university. Colleagues from the Department of Education and Careers of the University of East Bavaria talked about the most relevant tools, measures and initiatives that are used for easier and faster adaptation of foreign students.

It is important that the foreign students of bachelor's and master's programs themselves shared their experience of studying at the East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden: they told what difficulties they encountered, who helped them to overcome them faster, and how their adaptation was during their studies.
